Lets Be Free

So Ive always been a big fan of permed hair, but I recently came to the decision that its just not for me. Dont get me wrong I love the straight hair with bangs, ponytails, 1/2 up 1/2 down, all of that but it was just killin my hair. SO, Ive decided to go all natural, the way God made me to be, but I always resisted it. Now its time... who is on board with this journey to have natural, fun, free, healthy hair!

  2. Hi Kas!

    We are not our hair!...

I am so proud and glad that you have decided to go natural. Your scalp and hair are so important and needs to be treated as such without alot of unnecessary chemicals that are so unhealthy and potentially dangerous.
I miss you and your brother so much and I will be home soon. We will, together check into other safe products.
    I love you, Always,
    Ur Mom

  4. Hi Kas,

It's 10:41am on the east coast and your on the west coast and I know ur still n bed. So you'll read this later today when I'm on my way to Georgetown to see grandma!
Don't forget about the apple cider and vinegar leave-in hair rinse. It's great for cleaning the hair as well as a simple conditioner.
Eat your vegetables and if you can juice in a juicer and drink them, find ways to make it taste great!

    Love You, bunches!
    Ur Mom

ps. tell ur brother that I love him too!

  6. Hi Kurlycas, I commend you on the decision you made to go natural. So far I'm enjoying the ride. I've learned that black hair needs a lot of tlc and that you have to invest time. Its a learning process for me, like learning how to write all over(lame analogy, but true). First, I think its a mindset you have to get over. You have to first accept and acknowledge that kinky hair is beautiful, and get over what people may say about you. Second, be able to put in time and care for your hair, because it needs it. Third, do the darn thing! Don't be scurred!
